Samantha Gilbertson

I, (Samantha Gilbertson) am a supervised counselor in training at Charmed Counseling. I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at Gonzaga University, enrolled in a CACREP-accredited program, expecting to complete my Master’s degree in May 2027. I earned my B.A. in Psychology from Grand Canyon University in May 2025.

My counseling approach centers on the client and is grounded in the belief that every person has inherent worth and a desire for meaningful connection. I see myself as a “fellow traveler” on the journey of healing and growth, coming alongside clients as a supportive presence—offering emotional safety, curiosity, and collaboration as they navigate self-understanding and change. I draw from person-centered theory, reality theory, solution-focused practices, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to guide my work.

I have a strong interest in supporting children, teens, and young adults facing anxiety, depression, perfectionism, self-esteem challenges, or life transitions. I adapt my approach to meet each client’s individual needs and goals, creating a space for growth and self-discovery.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most powerful components of change. My goal is to provide a space grounded in trust and genuine connection, where clients can explore difficult emotions, gain new perspectives, and strengthen their sense of agency as they move forward.

My work is done under the direct supervision of Victoria Brown-Miller, Clinical Therapist (License: LH614563345). All consultations with my supervisor are confidential. I offer both in-person and telehealth services and remain committed to ethical practice, ongoing supervision, and continued personal and professional growth.

Outside of counseling, I enjoy hiking, traveling, exploring new coffee shops, and spending quality time with friends and family. Seeking therapy is a courageous step, and I look forward to supporting clients as they work toward becoming a healthier, more empowered version of themselves.
