Brieann Knott
Intern
I (Brieann Knott) am a Charmed Counseling intern. I am completing my master’s degree in clinical psychology. Mental Health Counseling from Walden University with an expected graduation date of February 2024. Prior to this, I received a BA in Psychology from the University of Washington in 2009. I was a first responder for eleven years and also have experience working for the 988 Suicide Hotline.
Throughout my previous careers, I have found a passion for helping teens and adults who have experienced trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief, and depression. Counseling may help heal past trauma, relieve emotional distress, and enhance well-being. As a counselor, I strive to provide a nonjudgmental and client-centered environment where we can collaborate on how to navigate life’s challenges. I use different modalities to meet individual client needs and primarily utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
During my internship, I meet with a Clinical Supervisor weekly to continue my growth and development as a counselor. I work under the direct supervision of Jessica Weed, a licensed mental health counselor. (LH61380825). All consultations with my supervisor are confidential. I offer services via both in-person and telehealth and will accommodate whichever method best suits your needs. I look forward to working with you.
