I (Natalie Makortoff) am a Licensed Associate Clinical Social Worker (SWIA.SC.70008542) in Washington State. I completed my Master of Social Work at the University of South Dakota in May 2025, following my Bachelor of Social Work from UMass Global in April 2024.

My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that everyone has inherent strengths and the ability to grow. I use a strengths-based approach and draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed practices to support clients in identifying their goals, building resilience, and finding meaningful ways forward. I believe therapy is a space where clients should feel empowered, heard, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges.

I enjoy working with children, teens, young adults, and families. I’m especially passionate about supporting individuals impacted by childhood trauma, emotional dysregulation, and low self-esteem. As I continue developing my clinical focus, I remain committed to creating a safe, empowering environment for those seeking clarity, connection, and growth.

Outside of the therapy room, you can find me camping in the Pacific Northwest or spending evenings at home with my cats watching The Office. I believe that balance, laughter, and connection are just as important as the work we do in therapy.
