I (Matt Russoniello) am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate (MFTA.MG.61551477) in Washington State. I received my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Whitworth University in 2024.  In 2007, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in creative writing English from Western Washington University and spent the following decade working in digital media while living in Seattle and New York City.

Before earning my master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy, I worked as a peer support specialist at a community health agency in Spokane. While completing my graduate program, I interned with the Medical Lake School District and provided therapy for children and adolescents. Additionally, I saw adolescent and adult individuals, couples, and families at the Whitworth therapy clinic. My therapeutic approach is systemic and integrative, with foundations in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Family Systems Therapies. Additionally, I utilize strategies from play therapy and art therapy when working with children.  With all clients, I believe in using a strengths-based, person-centered approach to best support people in naming and achieving their personal goals.
