Kelly Rawhouser,
LMHCA
I (Kelly Rawhouser she/hers) am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (MC 61648328) licensed in the state of Washington. I received my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2023. Prior to this, I received a Bachelor of Art in Elementary Education in 2018. I am currently working towards my licensure and working under a supervisor (Diane Hopkins Lic # LW61007456) until I reach the designated hour requirements.
Prior to joining Charmed Counseling, I have worked as an Employment Specialist, helping clients with barriers to employment like disabilities and criminal histories find jobs. I also spent six years working as a Substitute Teacher here in the United States and as an English Immersion Teacher in Chiang Rai, Thailand.
Counseling is collaborative and strongly relies on the relationship built between the counselor and client. My job is to create a space where you feel safe and supported as you build a greater understanding of yourself and how you interact with the world around you, as well as the world inside of you. My hope is that we will also create a space where we can laugh together and navigate this messy reality we call home.
Therapeutic approaches I incorporate include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Person-Centered Therapy. I also strive to always consider your culture and beliefs, respecting how they influence your world.
I am looking forward to working with you!
