Jennifer Floyd
LMFT, Bilingual; Telehealth Only Provider
It takes a strong person to seek out therapy! Welcome!
My name is Jennifer Floyd and I am a Bilingual (Spanish) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LF 60940470) in the state of Washington. I received my Master of Science: Counseling And Marriage And Family Therapy at California State University Northridge in 2015.
I have over 7 years of comprehensive experience in conducting therapy with children, adolescents, adults, families, and the LGBTQIA+ community in private practice settings, school settings, community health settings, and through Teletherapy. Throughout my educational and professional career, I have gained knowledge, training, and experience working with: depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, grief, family conflict, and trauma.
I believe the most important aspect of therapy is the therapeutic relationship between the individual and the therapist. I foster a safe and supportive environment where you can work through hardships and build upon strengths and skills to help you overcome challenges. I will help you challenge unhelpful thoughts through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to establish healthier ways of feeling, thinking, and being. I will help you identify underlying personal and relational conflicts to help with your self-discovery, self-identification, and self-growth. I tailor my sessions to meet each individual’s needs by utilizing Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, art, and play therapy for children.
In 2019 my husband and I moved from Los Angeles to Spokane (my husband’s hometown) to be closer to family and escape the big city life. We love exploring the beauty and nature Washington has to offer with our two fur babies Luna and Bella.
I look forward to working with you to help you heal and grow! Please give our office a call at (509)768-6852 or email us at info@charmedcounseling.com to discuss more.
