Emilee Lohman, LICSWA

Hi there! My name is, Emilee Lohman and I have my master’s in social work and a current license of Social Worker Associates Independent Clinician License (SC 61568781) in Washington State. I received my Master of Social Work from Eastern Washington University in 2018 and additionally have my bachelor’s in social work from EWU as well, go Eagles!

I have five years of experience as a School Social Worker in an elementary school and one year of experience as a Mental Health Clinician working in elementary and middle schools. My passion is working with kids within the school system. School is an integral part of most kids’ lives. It can be a wonderful experience or one with feelings of stress and worry. I strive to be a safe place, supportive person, and a good laugh for youths. There is huge potential for
beneficial impact working with kids, families, and school staff together. This is truly a team and a team that can reach great heights when working with one another. I have experience working with kids with anxiety, depression, impulse control, PTSD, trauma, ADHD, and oppositional defiance disorder.

I focus on providing a person- entered approach, you are in the driver’s seat and I am here to help with directions along the way. I utilize different modalities to meet the client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Person- Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Strategies, Play & Art Therapy, and Family interventions. I strive to have consistent communication and family involvement, as deemed appropriate. My
biggest ask is to laugh at my jokes, as humor is a wonderful therapy tool!
