Debra Winter
LMHC, LSWAIC
I (Debra Winter) am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LH61018196) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (SC60789697) in the state of Washington. I received my Masters in Social Work in 2017 and my BA in Social Work in 2010 from Eastern Washington University. In 2019 I became a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (CCTS-1).
I specialize in treating adults who experienced childhood and other traumas, low self-esteem, anxiety, non-traditional relationships (Poly, Kink, Fetish), sexual dysfunction/issues and Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). Unresolved trauma can show itself in various forms which often leads to misdiagnosis, poor decision-making skills, negative health effects and more. This is why I believe focusing on the mind, body, and spirit is essential to recovery through the use of Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems and other treatment approaches, as needed.
Engaging with a therapist can be a difficult and challenging decision. Finding the right therapist is critical. As a therapist I will meet you where you are and together, we will determine where your path leads. I have a warm, authentic, and intuitive style of therapy and believe in a strengths based, client-centered approach. Asking for help is never easy, which is why I believe creating a safe, judgment-free setting is crucial for your recovery.
