Carter Hudson

I (Carter Hudson) am a counselor in training here at Charmed. I currently attend Gonzaga University, where I am working towards my Master’s in Marriage and Family Counseling with an expected graduation date of May 2027.

My approach to counseling is centered on the client. You are the expert in your own life, and my job is to come alongside you in the process of healing, self-discovery, and growth. I am empathic, gentle, and relationship-oriented, with a belief that the connection between my clients and me is one of the main agents of change and healing.

My work is rooted in curiosity about your experience—what you have dealt with in the past, are struggling with in the present, and worry about for the future. I believe that difficult childhood experiences can create ingrained patterns of thoughts and behaviors that cause us to feel stuck as we move through life, and part of my job is to help you process these and other experiences in a safe, reflective, and courageous way. When we are able to face difficult emotions and experiences in the caring presence of another person, we begin to integrate the painful parts of our lives into a more cohesive, dynamic, and grounded self. As we learn to connect with ourselves more wholly, we begin to connect with others more authentically as well.

I work under the direct supervision of Jessica Weed, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LH61380825). All consultations with my supervisor are confidential. I offer both in-person and telehealth services to clients.

I work with individuals, couples, families, and teens through a trauma-informed lens. My areas of interest include developmental trauma, depression and anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, spiritual deconstruction, and identity formation. In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar and piano, hiking, riding my bike, and spending time with my family.

If you feel like I would be a good fit for you, please give our office a call at (509)768-6852 or email me at info@charmedcounseling.com to discuss more.
