Alexis Barker-LMHCA
My name is Alexis Barker, and I am currently a Clinical Mental Health Counseling associate I bring a Compassionate, culturally responsive, and client-centered approach to my work, with a deep commitment to supporting individuals through life’s challenges. Before pursuing counseling, I spent over 20 years in corporate leadership and program management. That experience gave me valuable insight into the pressures of career transitions, burnout, identity development,
and interpersonal dynamics—all of which inform my clinical perspective today. My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, life transitions, cultural identity, and self-worth. I strive to understand how personal values, generational experiences, and systemic factors shape mental health. In sessions, I draw from person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and multicultural frameworks.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey, and my role is to walk alongside each client—offering support, reflection, and space to grow. I aim to meet every person with respect, empathy, and humility.
I work under the direct supervision of Victoria Miller, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LH61456345) and also receive supervision from Charmed owner and Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Joeleen Wilkinson (LW60649635). All consultations with my supervisors are confidential. I am able to offer in-person and telehealth services to best suit your needs. Outside of counseling, I enjoy yoga, hiking, spending time with my community, and advocating for accessible
mental health care. if you feel we would be a good fit, feel free to email our practice to check my availability at: Info@charmedcounseling.com.
