Carly Nguyen
INTERN
I (Carly Nguyen) am an intern at Charmed Counseling, currently completing my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University, with an expected graduation date of March 2026. Prior to this, I received an M.A. in Communication Studies from Gonzaga University in 2016 and a B.A. in Communication Studies from Eastern Washington University in 2013. For nearly a decade, I worked with individuals with disabilities, including college students, job seekers, and their families. This experience deepened my passion for supporting others and inspired me to pursue a career in therapy, where I can help guide individuals toward healing and meaningful connections.
I take a collaborative and attachment-based approach that is trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming, creating a supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and relationships.
I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and the Gottman Method. Whether you’re navigating relational difficulties, family of origin challenges, disconnection, depression, anxiety, or life’s many transitions, I’m here to support you in processing pain, rebuilding connections, and living authentically.
I work under the direct supervision of Jessica Weed, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LH61380825). All consultations with my supervisor are confidential. I offer both in-person and telehealth services and will accommodate whichever method best suits your needs.
