Katie Evans
LMHCA
I (Katie Evans she/hers) am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (MC 61564692) licensed in the state of Washington. I received my Master of Arts in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Lewis and Clark College in June 2024. Prior to this, I received a BA in English with a from Whitman College in 2019. I am currently working towards my licensure and working under a supervisor (Diane Hopkins Lic # LW61007456) until I reach the designated hour requirements.
I believe counseling boils down to three key elements: being genuine, staying curious, and showing compassion. Through these qualities, my goal is to create a safe and caring space for you. We’ll navigate your inner world together, with a touch of humor and grace. It’s an honor to be a part of your journey towards change, healing, and strength through your life experience. I have worked with clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, disordered eating, substance use, amongst other experiences.
In our work we’ll uncover your values, nurture self-acceptance, and build meaningful relationships. I use various approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Relational Cultural Therapy. I also use a multicultural and social justice lens, meaning our conversations will encompass your cultural background and life experiences.
When I’m not at the office, you can find me exploring hiking trails, sipping coffee and reading at a cozy café, or baking at home.
